About the post- Punjab Police has officially released the recruitment notification (Advt. No. 01 of 2026) for the post of Constable in District and Armed Police Cadre 2026. Excluding sports quota vacancies, a total of 3298 temporary vacancies (2522 in District Cadre + 776 in Armed Cadre) have been announced, which will be filled separately. Recruitment is open to Indian citizens. Candidates must have passed Matriculation with Punjabi as a compulsory or elective subject. The pay scale for the post is Rs. Rs.19,900/- per month (fixed for first three years).
