About the post- Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECE Board), Government of Bihar has released the prospectus for Industrial Training Institute Competitive Entrance Test-2026 (ITICAT-2026) for admission to various professional trades in Government ITIs (General ITIs and Women ITIs) across Bihar for the session 2026-27 and 2026-28. A total of approximately 33,108 seats are available in 114+ government ITIs spread across all 38 districts of Bihar. Eligible Indian citizens meeting the residential criteria as per Para 4.2 of the Prospectus can apply online at bceceboard.bihar.gov.in from 16-03-2026 to 14-04-2026.

Answer: Minimum age is 14 years (date of birth not later than 01-08-2012). The minimum age for Mechanic Motor Vehicle and Mechanic Tractor trades is 17 years. There is no upper age limit for ITICAT-2026.
Q5. What is the educational qualification required for Bihar ITI CAT 2026?
Answer: For ITI sector trades, candidates must have passed or appearing in Matriculation (Class 10th) with Mathematics and Science as separate subjects. For non-apprenticeship trades, only matriculation pass/admission is required. Candidates appearing in Matric 2026 are also eligible to apply.
Q6. What is the exam pattern for Bihar ITI CAT 2026?
Answer: The written examination will consist of 150 objective MCQ questions of 300 marks in 2 hours 15 minutes. It has 3 sections: Mathematics (50Q /100M), General Science (50Q /100M) and General Knowledge (50Q /100M). There is no negative marking. There are 2 marks for each correct answer.
